So in the famous reply of the Delphian oracle to Pyrrhus: {Aio te ’acida, Romanos vincere posse: Ibis redibis nunquam in bello peribis;} "I say to thee, Pyrrhus the Romans shall overcome: thou shalt go, thou shalt return never in war shalt thou perish."
