Konteks8:3 He stretched out the form 3 of a hand and grabbed me by a lock of hair on my head. Then a wind 4 lifted me up between the earth and sky and brought me to Jerusalem 5 by means of divine visions, to the door of the inner gate which faces north where the statue 6 which provokes to jealousy was located.

Yehezkiel 17:24
Konteks17:24 All the trees of the field will know that I am the Lord.

I make the green tree wither, and I make the dry tree sprout.
I, the Lord, have spoken, and I will do it!’”

Yehezkiel 22:28
Konteks22:28 Her prophets coat their messages with whitewash. 8 They see false visions and announce lying omens for them, saying, ‘This is what the sovereign Lord says,’ when the Lord has not spoken.
Yehezkiel 24:13

Yehezkiel 47:8

[1:27] 2 tc The LXX lacks this phrase. Its absence from the LXX may be explained as a case of haplography resulting from homoioteleuton, skipping from כְּמַרְאֵה (kÿmar’eh) to מִמַּרְאֵה (mimmar’eh). On the other hand, the LXX presents a much more balanced verse structure when it is recognized that the final words of this verse belong in the next sentence.
[8:3] 3 tn The Hebrew term is normally used as an architectural term in describing the pattern of the tabernacle or temple or a representation of it (see Exod 25:8; 1 Chr 28:11).
[8:3] 4 tn Or “spirit.” See note on “wind” in 2:2.
[8:3] 5 map For the location of Jerusalem see Map5 B1; Map6 F3; Map7 E2; Map8 F2; Map10 B3; JP1 F4; JP2 F4; JP3 F4; JP4 F4.
[11:16] 7 tn Or “have been partially a sanctuary”; others take this as temporal (cf. NASB, NIV, NRSV “a little while”).
[22:28] 8 tn Heb “her prophets coat for themselves with whitewash.” The expression may be based on Ezek 13:10-15.
[24:13] 9 tn Heb “in your uncleanness (is) obscene conduct.”
[24:13] 10 tn Heb “because I cleansed you.” In this context (see especially the very next statement), the statement must refer to divine intention and purpose. Despite God’s efforts to cleanse his people, they resisted him and remained morally impure.
[24:13] 11 tn The Hebrew text adds the word “again.”
[36:22] 12 sn In Ezek 20:22 God refrained from punishment for the sake of his holy name. Here God’s reputation is the basis for Israel’s restoration.
[47:8] 13 tn Heb “the sea,” referring to the Dead Sea. This has been specified in the translation for clarity.
[47:8] 14 tn Heb “to the sea, those which are brought out.” The reading makes no sense. The text is best emended to read “filthy” (i.e., stagnant). See L. C. Allen, Ezekiel (WBC), 2:273.
