2:26 The king then told Abiathar the priest, “Go back to your property ¹  in Anathoth. You deserve to die, ²  but today I will not kill you because you did carry the ark of the sovereign Lord before my father David and you suffered with my father through all his difficult times.” ³

2:32 May the Lord punish him for the blood he shed; ⁴  behind my father David’s back he struck down and murdered with the sword two men who were more innocent and morally upright than he ⁵  – Abner son of Ner, commander of Israel’s army, and Amasa son of Jether, commander of Judah’s army.

Rehoboam’s Reign over Judah

14:21 Now Rehoboam son of Solomon ruled in Judah. He ¹³  was forty-one years old when he became king and he ruled for seventeen years in Jerusalem, ¹⁴  the city the Lord chose from all the tribes of Israel to be his home. ¹⁵  His mother was an Ammonite woman ¹⁶  named Naamah.

15:20 Ben Hadad accepted King Asa’s offer and ordered his army commanders to attack the cities of Israel. ¹⁷  They conquered ¹⁸  Ijon, Dan, Abel Beth Maacah, and all the territory of Naphtali, including the region of Kinnereth. ¹⁹

20:28 The prophet ²⁰  visited the king of Israel and said, “This is what the Lord says: ‘Because the Syrians said, “The Lord is a god of the mountains and not a god of the valleys,” I will hand over to you this entire huge army. ²¹  Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
