(Ibrani bet haysyimot 'rumah padang pasir'), letaknya di dekat pantai timur laut dari Laut Mati di dataran Moab (Bil 33:49; Yeh 25:9). Musa memberikannya kepada suku Ruben (Yos 13:20). Menurut Eusebius letaknya 16 km di sebelah timur laut Yerikho; Yosefus (War 4.438) menyebut nama Yunaninya Besimoth (Khirbet Sueimeh modern), yg dirampas oleh jenderal Romawi Placidus pada waktu pemberontakan Yahudi. Suatu sumur dan beberapa puing masih dapat ditemukan di sana. NH/RS
