Wahyu 2:7

2:7 The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, ¹  I will permit ²  him to eat from the tree of life that is ³  in the paradise of God.’ ⁴

2:23 Furthermore, I will strike her followers ⁵  with a deadly disease, ⁶  and then all the churches will know that I am the one who searches minds and hearts. I will repay ⁷  each one of you ⁸  what your deeds deserve. ⁹ 

Wahyu 3:21

3:21 I will grant the one ¹⁰  who conquers ¹¹  permission ¹²  to sit with me on my throne, just as I too conquered ¹³  and sat down with my Father on his throne.

21:6 He also said to me, “It is done! ¹⁴  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the one who is thirsty I will give water ¹⁵  free of charge ¹⁶  from the spring of the water of life.

[2:7]  ⁴ tc The omission of “my” (μου, mou) after “God” (θεοῦ, qeou) is well attested, supported by א A C and the Andreas of Caesarea group of Byzantine mss (Ï^A). Its addition in 1611, the Ï^K group, latt, and others, seems to be evidence of a purposeful conforming of the text to 3:2 and the four occurrences of “my God” (θεοῦ μου) in 3:12.

[2:23]  ⁵ tn Grk “her children,” but in this context a reference to this woman’s followers or disciples is more likely meant.

[2:23]  ⁶ tn Grk “I will kill with death.” θάνατος (qanatos) can in particular contexts refer to a manner of death, specifically a contagious disease (see BDAG 443 s.v. 3; L&N 23.158).

[2:23]  ⁷ tn Grk “I will give.” The sense of δίδωμι (didwmi) in this context is more “repay” than “give.”

[2:23]  ⁸ sn This pronoun and the following one are plural in the Greek text.
