but Jesus<n id="1" /> did so<n id="2" /> with a sworn affirmation by the one who said to him, &#8220;<i><b>The Lord has sworn and will not change his mindb>,i> &#8216;<b><i>You are a priest foreveri>b>&#8217;&#8221;<n id="3" /> &#8211;

For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. So this one too had to have something to offer.

For a tent was prepared, the outer one,<n id="1" /> which contained<n id="2" /> the lampstand, the table, and the presentation of the loaves; this<n id="3" /> is called the holy place.

But only the high priest enters once a year into the inner tent,<n id="1" /> and not without blood that he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance.<n id="2" />

for then he would have had to suffer again and again since the foundation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the consummation of the ages to put away sin by his sacrifice.

For we know the one who said, &#8220;<i><b>Vengeance is mineb>, <b>I will repayb>i>,&#8221;<n id="1" /> and again, &#8220;<b><i>The Lord will judge his peoplei>b>.&#8221;<n id="2" />

By faith, even though Sarah herself was barren and he was too old,<n id="1" /> he received the ability to procreate,<n id="2" /> because he regarded the one who had given the promise to be trustworthy.

For you know that<n id="1" /> later when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no opportunity for repentance, although he sought the blessing<n id="2" /> with tears.

Then his voice shook the earth, but now he has promised, &#8220;<b><i>I will once more shake not only the earth but heaven tooi>b>.&#8221;<n id="1" />

For the bodies of those animals whose blood the high priest brings<n id="1" /> into the sanctuary as an offering for sin are burned outside the camp.

Thus he became<n id="1" /> so far better than the angels as<n id="2" /> he has inherited a name superior to theirs.p>

For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

So<n id="1" /> we see that they could not enter because of unbelief.p>
