9:7 The men of Israel said to the Hivites, “Perhaps you live near us. ¹  So how can we make a treaty with you?”

Yosua 11:19

11:19 No city made peace with the Israelites (except the Hivites living in Gibeon); ²  they had to conquer all of them, ³
