Yosua 5:1

5:1 When all the Amorite kings on the west side of the Jordan and all the Canaanite kings along the seacoast heard how the Lord had dried up the water of the Jordan before the Israelites while they ¹  crossed, they lost their courage and could not even breathe for fear of the Israelites. ² 

Yosua 12:2

12:2 King Sihon of the Amorites who lived ³  in Heshbon and ruled from Aroer (on the edge of the Arnon Valley) – including the city in the middle of the valley ⁴  and half of Gilead – all the way to the Jabbok Valley bordering Ammonite territory.

Yosua 20:6

20:6 He must remain ⁵  in that city until his case is decided by the assembly ⁶  and the high priest dies. ⁷  Then the one who committed manslaughter may return home to the city from which he escaped.” ⁸ 

Yosua 24:13

24:13 I gave you a land in ⁹  which you had not worked hard; you took up residence in cities you did not build and you are eating the produce of ¹⁰  vineyards and olive groves you did not plant.’
