2:11 When we heard the news we lost our courage and no one could even breathe for fear of you. ¹  For the Lord your God is God in heaven above and on earth below!

Yosua 2:19

2:19 Anyone who leaves your house will be responsible for his own death – we are innocent in that case! ²  But if anyone with you in the house is harmed, we will be responsible. ³

Yosua 10:40

10:40 Joshua defeated the whole land, including the hill country, the Negev, the lowlands, ¹¹  the slopes, and all their kings. He left no survivors. He annihilated everything that breathed, just as the Lord God of Israel had commanded.

Yosua 11:21

11:21 At that time Joshua attacked and eliminated the Anakites from the hill country ¹²  – from Hebron, Debir, Anab, and all the hill country of Judah and Israel. ¹³  Joshua annihilated them and their cities.

12:2 King Sihon of the Amorites who lived ¹⁴  in Heshbon and ruled from Aroer (on the edge of the Arnon Valley) – including the city in the middle of the valley ¹⁵  and half of Gilead – all the way to the Jabbok Valley bordering Ammonite territory.
