Joshua Sends Spies into the Land

2:1 Joshua son of Nun sent two spies out from Shittim secretly and instructed them: ¹  “Find out what you can about the land, especially Jericho.” ²  They stopped at the house of a prostitute named Rahab and spent the night there. ³

17:10 Ephraim’s territory was to the south, and Manasseh’s to the north. The sea was Manasseh’s ⁴  western border and their territory ⁵  touched Asher on the north and Issachar on the east.

Civil War is Averted

22:10 The Reubenites, Gadites, and half-tribe of Manasseh came to Geliloth near the Jordan in the land of Canaan and built there, near the Jordan, an impressive altar. ⁶
