Yosua 10:32-33

10:32 The Lord handed Lachish over to Israel and they ¹  captured it on the second day. They put the sword to all who lived there, just as they had done to Libnah. 10:33 Then King Horam of Gezer came up to help Lachish, but Joshua struck down him and his army ²  until no survivors remained.

Yosua 10:35

10:35 That day they captured it and put the sword to all who lived there. That day they ³  annihilated it just as they ⁴  had done to Lachish.

Yosua 14:15

14:15 (Hebron used to be called Kiriath Arba. Arba was a famous Anakite. ⁵ ) Then the land was free of war.

Yosua 15:13

15:13 Caleb son of Jephunneh was assigned Kiriath Arba (that is Hebron) within the tribe of Judah, according to the Lord’s instructions to Joshua. (Arba was the father of Anak.) ⁶

19:49 When they finished dividing the land into its regions, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun some land. ⁷ 

Yosua 22:23

22:23 If we have built ⁸  an altar for ourselves to turn back from following the Lord by making ⁹  burnt sacrifices and grain offerings on it, or by offering ¹⁰  tokens of peace ¹¹  on it, the Lord himself will punish us. ¹²

[22:23]  ⁸ tn Heb “by building.” The prepositional phrase may be subordinated to what precedes, “if in unfaithfulness…by building.”

[22:23]  ¹² tn Heb “the Lord, he will seek.” Perhaps this is a self-imprecation in an oath, “may the Lord himself punish us.”
