2:9 They rush into ¹  the city;

they scale ²  its walls.

They climb up into the houses;

they go in through the windows like a thief.

Judgment in the Valley of Jehoshaphat

3:9 Proclaim this among the nations:

“Prepare for a holy war!

Call out the warriors!

Let all these fighting men approach and attack! ³ 

[2:9]  ¹ tn Heb “dart about in.”

[2:9]  ² tn Or “they run upon its wall.”

[3:9]  ³ tn Heb “draw near and go up.”
