Yesaya 25:2

25:2 Indeed, ¹  you have made the city ²  into a heap of rubble,

the fortified town into a heap of ruins;

the fortress of foreigners ³  is no longer a city,

it will never be rebuilt.

25:12 The fortified city (along with the very tops of your ⁴  walls) ⁵  he will knock down,

he will bring it down, he will throw it down to the dusty ground. ⁶ 

Hosea 10:14

Bethel Will Be Destroyed Like Beth Arbel

10:14 The roar of battle will rise against your people;

all your fortresses will be devastated,

[10:14]  ⁷ tn Heb “as the devastation of Shalman.” The genitive noun שַׁלְמַן (shalman, “Shalman”) functions as a subjective genitive: “as Shalman devastated [Beth Arbel].”
