Yesaya 10:14

10:14 My hand discovered the wealth of the nations, as if it were in a nest,

as one gathers up abandoned eggs,

I gathered up the whole earth.

There was no wing flapping,

or open mouth chirping.” ¹ 

Yesaya 28:2

28:2 Look, the sovereign master ²  sends a strong, powerful one. ³ 

With the force of a hailstorm or a destructive windstorm, ⁴ 

with the might of a driving, torrential rainstorm, ⁵ 

he will knock that crown ⁶  to the ground with his hand. ⁷ 

Yesaya 47:8

47:8 So now, listen to this,

O one who lives so lavishly, ⁸ 

who lives securely,

who says to herself, ⁹ 

‘I am unique! No one can compare to me! ¹⁰ 

I will never have to live as a widow;

I will never lose my children.’ ¹¹
