Wahyu 17:12

17:12 The ¹  ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received a kingdom, but will receive ruling authority ²  as kings with the beast for one hour.

Wahyu 11:3

11:3 And I will grant my two witnesses authority ³  to prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth.

[17:12]  ¹ tn Here καί (kai) has not been translated because of differences between Greek and English style.

[17:12]  ² tn For the translation “ruling authority” for ἐξουσία (exousia) see L&N 37.35.

[11:3]  ³ tn The word “authority” is not in the Greek text, but is implied. “Power” would be another alternative that could be supplied here.
