28:37 You will become an occasion of horror, a proverb, and an object of ridicule to all the peoples to whom the Lord will drive you.

Mikha 7:8-10

Jerusalem Will Be Vindicated

7:8 My enemies, ¹  do not gloat ²  over me!

Though I have fallen, I will get up.

Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light. ³ 

7:9 I must endure ⁴  the Lord’s anger,

for I have sinned against him.

But then ⁵  he will defend my cause, ⁶ 

and accomplish justice on my behalf.

He will lead me out into the light;

I will experience firsthand ⁷  his deliverance. ⁸ 

7:10 When my enemies see this, they will be covered with shame.

They say ⁹  to me, “Where is the Lord your God?”

I will gloat over them. ¹⁰ 

Then they will be trampled down ¹¹ 

like mud in the streets.

Zefanya 2:8

2:8 “I have heard Moab’s taunts

and the Ammonites’ insults.
