Ulangan 10:21

10:21 He is the one you should praise; ¹  he is your God, the one who has done these great and awesome things for you that you have seen.

Mazmur 75:2

75:2 God says, ² 

“At the appointed times, ³ 

I judge ⁴  fairly.

[10:21]  ¹ tn Heb “your praise.” The pronoun is subjective and the noun “praise” is used here metonymically for the object of their praise (the Lord).

[75:2]  ² tn The words “God says” are not in the Hebrew text, but are supplied in the translation to clarify that God speaks in vv. 2-3.

[75:2]  ³ tn Heb “when I take an appointed time.”

[75:2]  ⁴ tn Heb “I, [in] fairness, I judge.” The statement is understood in a generalizing sense; God typically executes fair judgment as he governs the world. One could take this as referring to an anticipated (future) judgment, “I will judge.”
