[43:4]  ² tn The cohortative expresses the psalmist’s resolve. Prefixed with the vav (ו) conjunctive it also expresses the result or outcome of the preceding verbs “lead” and “escort.”

[43:4]  ³ tn Heb “to God, the joy of my happiness.” The phrase “joy of my happiness” employs an appositional genitive. [43:4]  ⁴ tn The cohortative with vav (ו) conjunctive probably indicates purpose (“so that”) or intention.

[5:2]  ⁵ tn Here καί (kai) has been translated as “then” to indicate the implied sequence of events within the narrative.

[5:2]  ⁶ tn Grk “And opening his mouth he taught them, saying.” The imperfect verb ἐδίδασκεν (edidasken) has been translated ingressively.
