Nehemia 1:9

1:9 But if you repent ¹  and obey ²  my commandments and do them, then even if your dispersed people are in the most remote location, ³  I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen for my name to reside.’

106:47 Deliver us, O Lord, our God!

Gather us from among the nations!

Yesaya 14:1

14:1 The Lord will certainly have compassion on Jacob; ⁶  he will again choose Israel as his special people ⁷  and restore ⁸  them to their land. Resident foreigners will join them and unite with the family ⁹  of Jacob.

Another option is to translate, “For the Lord will have compassion.” In this case one of the reasons for Babylon’s coming demise (13:22b) is the Lord’s desire to restore his people.
