[3:21]  1 tn Heb “the house of Eliashib.” This has not been repeated in the translation for stylistic reasons.

[3:30]  2 tc The translation reads אַחֲרָיו (’akharayv, “after him”) with the Qere and many medieval Hebrew MSS, rather than the reading אַחֲרֵי (’akharey, “after me”) of the MT. So also in v. 31.

[5:10]  3 tn Heb “brothers.”

[5:10]  4 tn Heb “lads.”

[5:10]  5 tn Heb “this debt.” This expression is a metonymy of association: “debt” refers to the seizure of the collateral of the debt.

[9:16]  6 tn Heb “and our fathers.” The vav is explicative.

[9:16]  7 tn Heb “they stiffened their neck” (so also in the following verse).

[13:9]  8 tn On the usage of this Hebrew word see HALOT 478-79 s.v. כְּלִי.

[13:24]  9 tn Heb “people and people.”
