97:1 The Lord reigns!

Let the earth be happy!

Let the many coastlands rejoice!

Mazmur 100:2

100:2 Worship ²  the Lord with joy!

Enter his presence with joyful singing!

Mazmur 118:24

118:24 This is the day the Lord has brought about. ³ 

We will be happy and rejoice in it.

[97:1]  ¹ sn Psalm 97. The psalmist depicts the Lord as the sovereign, just king of the world who comes in power to vindicate his people.

[100:2]  ² tn Or “serve.”

[118:24]  ³ tn Heb “this is the day the Lord has made.” Though sometimes applied in a general way, this statement in its context refers to the day of deliverance which the psalmist and people celebrate.
