[8:3] 1 tn Heb “when I see your heavens, the works of your fingers, the moon and stars which you established.” The verb “[and] see” is understood by ellipsis in the second half of the verse.
[38:16] 2 tn Heb “For I said, ‘Lest they rejoice over me.’” The psalmist recalls the motivating argument of his petition. He probably prefaced this statement with a prayer for deliverance (see Pss 7:1-2; 13:3-4; 28:1).
[38:16] 3 tn Heb “they will magnify against me.” See Pss 35:26; 55:13.
[69:19] 4 tn Heb “before you [are] all my enemies.”
[90:8] 6 tn Heb “you set our sins in front of you.”
[90:8] 7 tn Heb “what we have hidden to the light of your face.” God’s face is compared to a light or lamp that exposes the darkness around it.
