Mazmur 32:10

32:10 An evil person suffers much pain, ¹ 

but the Lord’s faithfulness overwhelms the one who trusts in him. ² 

Mazmur 78:48

78:48 He rained hail down on their cattle, ³ 

and hurled lightning bolts down on their livestock. ⁴ 

Mazmur 105:38

105:38 Egypt was happy when they left,

for they were afraid of them. ⁵ 

[32:10]  ¹ tn Heb “many [are the] pains of evil [one].” The singular form is representative here; the typical evildoer, representative of the larger group of wicked people, is in view.

[32:10]  ² tn Heb “but the one who trusts in the Lord, faithfulness surrounds him.”

[78:48]  ³ tn Heb “and he turned over to the hail their cattle.”

[78:48]  ⁴ tn Heb “and their livestock to the flames.” “Flames” here refer to the lightning bolts that accompanied the storm.

[105:38]  ⁵ tn Heb “for fear of them had fallen upon them.”
