  All the happy children, gladly join our song, Rising to the Father, in a chorus strong. Birds are brightly singing, leaves are opening wide, Flower bells are ringing forth on every side. Refrain All the happy children, gladly join our song, Rising to the Father, in a chorus strong. See the sky above us, spread so warm and blue, So God’s love is reaching over me and you. Father, dear we thank Thee for long summer days, For the birds and flowers, for the grassy ways. Refrain All the happy children thank Thee, Father dear, For this day for children out of all the year.   Oh, the weary night is waning, And the clouds are rolling by; See, the long expected morning Now is dawning in the sky; When from Zion’s lofty mountain We shall hear the watchmen cry, And rejoicing we shall gather When the King shall come. Refrain O Zion! O Zion! Great will be Thy triumph When the King shall come; O Zion! O Zion! Thou shalt be exalted When the King shall come.   All ye that love the Lord, rejoice, And let your songs be new; Amidst the church with cheerful voice His later wonders show. The Jews, the people of His grace, Shall their Redeemer sing; And Gentile nations join the praise, While Sion owns her King. The Lord takes pleasure in the just, Whom sinners treat with scorn; The meek that lie despised in dust Salvation shall adorn. Saints should be joyful in their King, E’en on a dying bed; And like the souls in glory sing; For God shall raise the dead. Then His high praise shall fill their tongues Their hands shall wield the sword; And vengeance shall attend their songs, The vengeance of the Lord. When Christ the judgment-seat ascends, And bids the world appear, Thrones are prepared for all His friends Who humbly loved Him here.   There is a happy land, far, far away, Where saints in glory stand, bright, bright as day. Oh, how they sweetly sing, worthy is our Savior King, Loud let His praises ring, praise, praise for aye. Come to that happy land, come, come away; Why will ye doubting stand, why still delay? Oh, we shall happy be, when from sin and sorrow free, Lord, we shall live with Thee, blest, blest for aye.   O Lord, ’tis matter of high praise, Thy Word on us doth shine, But happy they who feel its rays, And glorious power divine. O let poor sinners feel their sin Prick them, as with a sword; And purge out all that filth within; So will we praise Thy Word. Enlightened souls have cause to sing, Who wounded were by Thee; True cause of joy to such doth spring; For they, Lord, healèd be. And now in robes most richly decked, They to the King are brought; Surpassing angels, for have they A robe so richly wrought. We therefore throw our crowns below Thy high and glorious throne; And must all say, both night and day, Thou worthy art alone, All glory, power, and praise to have, By us forevermore; Thus let us sing unto our King, And Him in heart adore.
