The Lord Will Judge Egypt

19:1 Here is a message about Egypt:

Look, the Lord rides on a swift-moving cloud

and approaches Egypt.

The idols of Egypt tremble before him;

the Egyptians lose their courage. ¹ 

Yehezkiel 29:20

29:20 I have given him the land of Egypt as his compensation for attacking Tyre ² , because they did it for me, declares the sovereign Lord.

[19:1]  ¹ tn Heb “and the heart of Egypt melts within it.”

[29:20]  ² tn Heb “for which he worked,” referring to the assault on Tyre (v. 18).
