Mazmur 145:19

145:19 He satisfies the desire ¹  of his loyal followers; ² 

he hears their cry for help and delivers them.

Yesaya 55:6

55:6 Seek the Lord while he makes himself available; ³ 

call to him while he is nearby!

[145:19]  ¹ tn In this context “desire” refers to the followers’ desire to be delivered from wicked enemies.

[145:19]  ² tn Heb “the desire of those who fear him, he does.”

[55:6]  ³ tn Heb “while he allows himself to be found.” The Niphal form has a tolerative force here.
