[145:15]  1 tn Heb “the eyes of all wait for you.”

[145:15]  2 tn Heb “and you give to them their food in its season” (see Ps 104:27).

[1:20]  3 tn Heb “beasts of the field.”

[1:20]  4 tn Heb “long for you.” Animals of course do not have religious sensibilities as such; they do not in any literal sense long for Yahweh. Rather, the language here is figurative (metonymy of cause for effect). The animals long for food and water (so BDB 788 s.v. עָרַג), the ultimate source of which is Yahweh.

[1:20]  5 tn Heb “sources of water.”

[1:20]  6 tn Heb “consumed.”

[1:20]  7 tn Heb “the pastures of the wilderness.”

[6:26]  8 tn Grk “the birds of the sky” or “the birds of the heaven”; the Greek word οὐρανός (ouranos) may be translated either “sky” or “heaven,” depending on the context. The idiomatic expression “birds of the sky” refers to wild birds as opposed to domesticated fowl (cf. BDAG 809 s.v. πετεινόν).

[6:26]  9 tn Or “God gives them food to eat.” L&N 23.6 has both “to provide food for” and “to give food to someone to eat.”

[6:26]  10 tn Grk “of more value.”
