Regulations for Israel’s Appointed Times

23:1 The Lord spoke to Moses: 23:2 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them, ‘These are the Lord’s appointed times which you must proclaim as holy assemblies – my appointed times: ¹ 

Imamat 21:24

21:24 So ²  Moses spoke these things ³  to Aaron, his sons, and all the Israelites.

Matius 18:20

18:20 For where two or three are assembled in my name, I am there among them.”

[23:2]  ¹ tn Heb “these are them, my appointed times.”

[23:2]  sn The term מוֹעֵד (mo’ed, rendered “appointed time” here) can refer to either a time or place of meeting. See the note on “tent of meeting” (אֹהֶל מוֹעֵד, ’ohel mo’ed) in Lev 1:1.

[21:24]  ² tn Heb “And.” The Hebrew conjunction ו (vav, “and”) introduces a concluding statement for all the preceding material.

[21:24]  ³ tn The words “these things” are not in the Hebrew text, but have been supplied in the translation for clarity.
