26:5 You are to make fifty loops on the one curtain, and you are to make fifty loops on the end curtain which is on the second set, so that the loops are opposite one to another. ¹

27:4 You are to make a grating ²  for it, a network of bronze, and you are to make on the network four bronze rings on its four corners.

30:37 And the incense that you are to make, you must not make for yourselves using the same recipe; it is to be most holy to you, belonging to the Lord.

[26:5]  ¹ tn Heb “a woman to her sister.”

[27:4]  ² tn The noun מִכְבָּר (mikhbar) means “a grating”; it is related to the word that means a “sieve.” This formed a vertical support for the ledge, resting on the ground and supporting its outer edge (S. R. Driver, Exodus, 292).

[36:5]  ³ tn The construction uses the verbal hendiadys: מַרְבִּים לְהָבִיא (marbim lÿhavi’) is the Hiphil participle followed (after the subject) by the Hiphil infinitive construct. It would read, “they multiply…to bring,” meaning, “they bring more” than is needed.

[36:5]  ⁴ tn Heb “for the service” (so KJV, ASV).

[36:5]  ⁵ tn The last clause is merely the infinitive with an object – “to do it.” It clearly means the skilled workers are to do it.
