Kejadian 42:19

42:19 If you are honest men, leave one of your brothers confined here in prison ¹  while the rest of you go ²  and take grain back for your hungry families. ³ 

Kejadian 45:2

45:2 He wept loudly; ⁴  the Egyptians heard it and Pharaoh’s household heard about it. ⁵ 

[42:19]  ¹ tn Heb “bound in the house of your prison.”

[42:19]  ² tn The disjunctive clause is circumstantial-temporal.

[42:19]  ³ tn Heb “[for] the hunger of your households.”

[45:2]  ⁴ tn Heb “and he gave his voice in weeping,” meaning that Joseph could not restrain himself and wept out loud.

[45:2]  ⁵ tn Heb “and the Egyptians heard and the household of Pharaoh heard.” Presumably in the latter case this was by means of a report.
