24:10 Then the servant took ten of his master’s camels and departed with all kinds of gifts from his master at his disposal. ¹  He journeyed ²  to the region of Aram Naharaim ³  and the city of Nahor.

23:42 The sound of a carefree crowd accompanied her, ⁴  including all kinds of men; ⁵  even Sabeans ⁶  were brought from the desert. The sisters ⁷  put bracelets on their wrists and beautiful crowns on their heads.

[24:10]  ¹ tn Heb “and every good thing of his master was in his hand.” The disjunctive clause is circumstantial, explaining that he took all kinds of gifts to be used at his discretion.

[24:10]  sn Aram Naharaim means in Hebrew “Aram of the Two Rivers,” a region in northern Mesopotamia.

[23:42]  ⁶ tn An alternate reading is “drunkards.” Sheba is located in the area of modern day Yemen.
