Kejadian 1:10

1:10 God called the dry ground “land” ¹  and the gathered waters he called “seas.” God saw that it was good.

Kejadian 1:31

1:31 God saw all that he had made – and it was very good! ²  There was evening, and there was morning, the sixth day.

Kejadian 31:18

31:18 He took ³  away all the livestock he had acquired in Paddan Aram and all his moveable property that he had accumulated. Then he set out toward the land of Canaan to return to his father Isaac. ⁴ 

Kejadian 41:18

41:18 Then seven fat and fine-looking cows were coming up out of the Nile, and they grazed in the reeds. ⁵ 

[1:10]  ¹ tn Heb “earth,” but here the term refers to the dry ground as opposed to the sea.

[1:31]  ² tn The Hebrew text again uses הִנֵּה (hinneh) for the sake of vividness. It is a particle that goes with the gesture of pointing, calling attention to something.

[31:18]  ³ tn Heb “drove,” but this is subject to misunderstanding in contemporary English.

[31:18]  ⁴ tn Heb “and he led away all his cattle and all his moveable property which he acquired, the cattle he obtained, which he acquired in Paddan Aram to go to Isaac his father to the land of Canaan.”

[41:18]  ⁵ tn Heb “and look, from the Nile seven cows were coming up, fat of flesh and attractive of appearance, and they grazed in the reeds.”
