11:44 for I am the Lord your God and you are to sanctify yourselves and be holy because I am holy. You must not defile yourselves by any of the swarming things that creep on the ground, 11:45 for I am the Lord who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God, 1 and you are to be holy because I am holy.
19:2 “Speak to the whole congregation of the Israelites and tell them, ‘You must be holy because I, the Lord your God, am holy.
20:7 “‘You must sanctify yourselves and be holy, because I am the Lord your God.
20:26 You must be holy to me because I, the Lord, am holy, and I have set you apart from the other peoples to be mine.
21:8 You must sanctify him because he presents the food of your God. He must be holy to you because I, the Lord who sanctifies you all, 2 am holy.
22:23 As for an ox 3 or a sheep with a limb too long or stunted, 4 you may present it as a freewill offering, but it will not be acceptable for a votive offering. 5
[22:23] 5 sn The freewill offering was voluntary, so the regulations regarding it were more relaxed. Once a vow was made, the paying of it was not voluntary (see B. A. Levine, Leviticus [JPSTC], 151-52, for very helpful remarks on this verse).
