TB NETBible YUN-IBR Ref. Silang Nama Gambar Himne

Ibrani 6:12-15

Konteks
6:12 so that you may not be sluggish, 1  but imitators of those who through faith and perseverance inherit the promises.

6:13 Now when God made his promise to Abraham, since he could swear by no one greater, he swore by himself, 6:14 saying, “Surely I will bless you greatly and multiply your descendants abundantly.” 2  6:15 And so by persevering, Abraham 3  inherited the promise.

Ibrani 10:36

Konteks
10:36 For you need endurance in order to do God’s will and so receive what is promised. 4

Ibrani 10:2

Konteks
10:2 For otherwise would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers would have been purified once for all and so have 5  no further consciousness of sin?

1 Samuel 7:11-17

Konteks
7:11 Then the men of Israel left Mizpah and chased the Philistines, striking them down all the way to an area below Beth Car.

7:12 Samuel took a stone and placed it between Mizpah and Shen. 6  He named it Ebenezer, 7  saying, “Up to here the Lord has helped us.” 7:13 So the Philistines were defeated; they did not invade Israel again. The hand of the Lord was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.

7:14 The cities that the Philistines had captured from Israel were returned to Israel, from Ekron to Gath. Israel also delivered their territory from the control 8  of the Philistines. There was also peace between Israel and the Amorites. 7:15 So Samuel led 9  Israel all the days of his life. 7:16 Year after year he used to travel the circuit of Bethel, 10  Gilgal, and Mizpah; he used to judge Israel in all of these places. 7:17 Then he would return to Ramah, because his home was there. He also judged 11  Israel there and built an altar to the Lord there.

Galatia 3:16

Konteks
3:16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant. 12  Scripture 13  does not say, “and to the descendants,” 14  referring to many, but “and to your descendant,” 15  referring to one, who is Christ.

[6:12]  1 tn Or “dull.”

[6:14]  2 tn Grk “in blessing I will bless you and in multiplying I will multiply you,” the Greek form of a Hebrew idiom showing intensity.

[6:14]  sn A quotation from Gen 22:17.

[6:15]  3 tn Grk “he”; in the translation the referent (Abraham) has been specified for clarity.

[10:36]  4 tn Grk “the promise,” referring to the thing God promised, not to the pledge itself.

[10:2]  5 tn Grk “the worshipers, having been purified once for all, would have.”

[7:12]  6 tn Cf. NAB, NRSV, NLT “Jeshanah.”

[7:12]  7 sn The name Ebenezer (אֶבֶן הָעָזֶר) means “stone of help” in Hebrew (cf. TEV); NLT adds the meaning parenthetically after the name.

[7:14]  8 tn Heb “hand.”

[7:15]  9 tn Heb “judged” (also in v. 17).

[7:16]  10 map For location see Map4 G4; Map5 C1; Map6 E3; Map7 D1; Map8 G3.

[7:17]  11 tn Or perhaps “settled disputes for” (cf. NLT “would hear cases there”; NRSV “administered justice there”).

[3:16]  13 tn Grk “It”; the referent (the scripture) has been specified in the translation for clarity. The understood subject of the verb λέγει (legei) could also be “He” (referring to God) as the one who spoke the promise to Abraham.

[3:16]  14 tn Grk “to seeds.” See the note on “descendant” earlier in this verse. Here the term is plural; the use of the singular in the OT text cited later in this verse is crucial to Paul’s argument.
