Hakim-hakim 1:24-25

1:24 the spies spotted ¹  a man leaving the city. They said to him, “If you show us a secret entrance into the city, we will reward you.” 1:25 He showed them a secret entrance into the city, and they put the city to the sword. But they let the man and his extended family leave safely.

Hakim-hakim 3:3

3:3 These were the nations: ²  the five lords of the Philistines, all the Canaanites, the Sidonians, and the Hivites living in Mount Lebanon, from Mount Baal Hermon to Lebo-Hamath. ³

6:2 The Midianites ⁴  overwhelmed Israel. ⁵  Because of Midian the Israelites made shelters ⁶  for themselves in the hills, as well as caves and strongholds.

Hakim-hakim 6:8

6:8 he ⁷  sent a prophet ⁸  to the Israelites. He said to them, “This is what the Lord God of Israel says: ‘I brought you up from Egypt ⁹  and took you out of that place of slavery. ¹⁰

17:8 This man left the town of Bethlehem in Judah to find another place to live. He came to the Ephraimite hill country and made his way to Micah’s house. ¹¹ 

Hakim-hakim 21:12

21:12 They found among the inhabitants of Jabesh Gilead four hundred young girls who were virgins – they had never had sexual relations with a male. ¹²  They brought them back to the camp at Shiloh in the land of Canaan.
