2:8 The king replied, “I know for sure that you are attempting to gain time, because you see that my decision is firm.

Daniel 9:14

9:14 The LORD was mindful of the calamity, and he brought it on us. For the LORD our God is just ¹  in all he has done, ²  and we have not obeyed him. ³ 

Daniel 11:12

11:12 When the army is taken away, the king of the south will become arrogant. ⁴  He will be responsible for the death ⁵  of thousands and thousands of people, ⁶  but he will not continue to prevail.
