Daniel 2:25

2:25 So Arioch quickly ushered Daniel into the king’s presence, saying to him, “I ¹  have found a man from the captives of Judah who can make known the interpretation to the king.”

Daniel 3:26

3:26 Then Nebuchadnezzar approached the door of the furnace of blazing fire. He called out, ²  “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the most high God, come out! Come here!”

Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego emerged from the fire. ³ 

Daniel 10:8

10:8 I alone was left to see this great vision. My strength drained from ⁴  me, and my vigor disappeared; ⁵  I was without energy. ⁶ 

[2:25]  ¹ sn Arioch’s claim is self-serving and exaggerated. It is Daniel who came to him, and not the other way around. By claiming to have found one capable of solving the king’s dilemma, Arioch probably hoped to ingratiate himself to the king.

[3:26]  ² tn Aram “answered and said.”

[3:26]  ³ tn Aram “from the midst of the fire.” For stylistic reasons the words “the midst of” have been left untranslated.

[10:8]  ⁴ tn Heb “did not remain in.”

[10:8]  ⁵ tn Heb “was changed upon me for ruin.”

[10:8]  ⁶ tn Heb “strength.”
