Daniel 2:24

2:24 Then Daniel went in to see ¹  Arioch (whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon). He came ²  and said to him, “Don’t destroy the wise men of Babylon! Escort me ³  to the king, and I will disclose the interpretation to him!” ⁴ 

Daniel 10:11

10:11 He said to me, “Daniel, you are of great value. ⁵  Understand the words that I am about to ⁶  speak to you. So stand up, ⁷  for I have now been sent to you.” When he said this ⁸  to me, I stood up shaking.

Daniel 10:16

10:16 Then ⁹  one who appeared to be a human being ¹⁰  was touching my lips. I opened my mouth and started to speak, saying to the one who was standing before me, “Sir, ¹¹  due to the vision, anxiety has gripped me and I have no strength.

[2:24]  ¹ tc The MT has עַל עַל (’al ’al, “he entered upon”). Several medieval Hebrew MSS lack the verb, although this may be due to haplography.

[2:24]  ³ tn Aram “cause me to enter.” So also in v. 25.

[2:24]  ⁴ tn Aram “the king.”

[10:11]  ⁵ tn Or “a treasured person”; KJV “a man greatly beloved”; NASB “man of high esteem.”

[10:11]  ⁶ tn The Hebrew participle is often used, as here, to refer to the imminent future.
