Salutation

1:1 From Paul, ¹  an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,

Kolose 1:13

1:13 He delivered us from the power of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of the Son he loves, ² 

[1:1]  ¹ tn Grk “Paul.” The word “from” is not in the Greek text, but has been supplied to indicate the sender of the letter.

[1:13]  ² tn Here αὐτοῦ (autou) has been translated as a subjective genitive (“he loves”).
