Bilangan 18:24

18:24 But I have given ¹  to the Levites for an inheritance the tithes of the Israelites that are offered ²  to the Lord as a raised offering. That is why I said to them that among the Israelites they are to have no inheritance.”

Ulangan 14:28-29

14:28 At the end of every three years you must bring all the tithe of your produce, in that very year, and you must store it up in your villages. 14:29 Then the Levites (because they have no allotment or inheritance with you), the resident foreigners, the orphans, and the widows of your villages may come and eat their fill so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work you do.

7:5 And those of the sons of Levi who receive the priestly office ³  have authorization according to the law to collect a tithe from the people, that is, from their fellow countrymen, ⁴  although they too are descendants of Abraham. ⁵
