Ayub 22:23

22:23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; ¹ 

if you remove wicked behavior far from your tent,

Yesaya 45:22

45:22 Turn to me so you can be delivered, ² 

all you who live in the earth’s remote regions!

For I am God, and I have no peer.

[22:23]  ¹ tc The MT has “you will be built up” (תִּבָּנֶה, tibbaneh). But the LXX has “humble yourself” (reading תְּעַנֶּה [tÿ’anneh] apparently). Many commentators read this; Dahood has “you will be healed.”

[45:22]  ² tn The Niphal imperative with prefixed vav (ו) indicates purpose after the preceding imperative. The Niphal probably has a tolerative sense, “allow yourselves to be delivered, accept help.”
