Ayub 21:28

21:28 For you say,

‘Where now is the nobleman’s house, ¹ 

and where are the tents in which the wicked lived?’ ²

39:30 And its young ones devour the blood,

and where the dead carcasses ³  are,

there it is.”

[21:28]  ¹ sn The question implies the answer will be “vanished” or “gone.”

[21:28]  ² tn Heb “And where is the tent, the dwellings of the wicked.” The word “dwellings of the wicked” is in apposition to “tent.” A relative pronoun must be supplied in the translation.

[39:30]  ³ tn The word חֲלָלִים (khalalim) designates someone who is fatally wounded, literally the “pierced one,” meaning anyone or thing that dies a violent death.
