2 Timotius 2:7

2:7 Think about what I am saying and ¹  the Lord will give you understanding of all this. ² 

2 Timotius 4:4

4:4 And they will turn away from hearing the truth, but on the other hand they will turn aside to myths. ³ 

[2:7]  ¹ tn The Greek word here usually means “for,” but is used in this verse for a milder continuation of thought.

[2:7]  ² tn Grk “in all things.”

[4:4]  ³ sn These myths were legendary tales characteristic of the false teachers in Ephesus and Crete. See parallels in 1 Tim 1:4; 4:7; and Titus 1:14.
