7:3 When all the Israelites saw the fire come down and the Lord’s splendor over the temple, they got on their knees with their faces downward toward the pavement. They worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, ¹  “Certainly he is good; certainly his loyal love endures!”

2 Tawarikh 9:11

9:11 With the timber the king made steps ²  for the Lord’s temple and royal palace as well as stringed instruments ³  for the musicians. No one had seen anything like them in the land of Judah prior to that. ⁴ )

34:28 ‘Therefore I will allow you to die and be buried in peace. ⁵  You will not have to witness all the disaster I will bring on this place and its residents.’”’” Then they reported back to the king.

[9:11]  ² tn Heb “tracks.” The parallel text in 1 Kgs 10:12 has a different term whose meaning is uncertain: “supports,” perhaps “banisters” or “parapets.”
