Solomon Entertains a Queen

9:1 When the queen of Sheba heard about Solomon, ⁵  she came to challenge ⁶  him ⁷  with difficult questions. ⁸  She arrived in Jerusalem ⁹  with a great display of pomp, ¹⁰  bringing with her camels carrying spices, ¹¹  a very large quantity of gold, and precious gems. She visited Solomon and discussed with him everything that was on her mind.

2 Tawarikh 19:10

19:10 Whenever your countrymen who live in the cities bring a case before you ¹²  (whether it involves a violent crime ¹³  or other matters related to the law, commandments, rules, and regulations), warn them that they must not sin against the Lord. If you fail to do so, God will be angry with you and your colleagues; but if you obey, you will be free of guilt. ¹⁴ 

2 Tawarikh 22:9

22:9 He looked for Ahaziah, who was captured while hiding in Samaria. ¹⁵  They brought him to Jehu and then executed him. They did give him a burial, for they reasoned, ¹⁶  “He is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the Lord with his whole heart.” There was no one in Ahaziah’s family strong enough to rule in his place. ¹⁷ 

2 Tawarikh 30:6

30:6 Messengers ¹⁸  delivered the letters from the king and his officials throughout Israel and Judah.

This royal edict read: ¹⁹  “O Israelites, return to the Lord God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, so he may return ²⁰  to you who have been spared from the kings of Assyria. ²¹
