6:1 Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he lives in thick darkness.

20:8 They settled down in it and built in it a temple ¹  to honor you, ²  saying,

30:26 There was a great celebration in Jerusalem, unlike anything that had occurred in Jerusalem since the time of King Solomon son of David of Israel. ³ 

[20:8]  ¹ tn Or “sanctuary.”

[20:8]  ² tn Heb “for your name.” The word “name” sometimes refers to one’s reputation or honor (thus the translation here, “to honor you”).

[30:26]  ³ tn Heb “and there was great joy in Jerusalem, for from the days of Solomon son of David, king of Israel, there was nothing like this in Jerusalem.”
