22:4 He did evil in the sight of ¹  the Lord like Ahab’s dynasty because, after his father’s death, they ²  gave him advice that led to his destruction.

22:3 He followed in the footsteps of Ahab’s dynasty, ³  for his mother gave him evil advice. ⁴

25:17 After King Amaziah of Judah consulted with his advisers, ⁵  he sent this message to the king of Israel, Joash son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, “Come, face me on the battlefield.” ⁶

[22:3]  ³ tn Heb “and also he walked in the ways of the house of Ahab.”

[25:17]  ⁶ tn Heb “let us look at each other [in the] face.” The expression refers here not to a visit but to meeting in battle. See v. 21.
