15:15 All Judah was happy about the oath, because they made the vow with their whole heart. They willingly sought the Lord and he responded to them. ¹  He made them secure on every side. ² 

2 Tawarikh 26:21

26:21 King Uzziah suffered from a skin disease until the day he died. He lived in separate quarters, ³  afflicted by a skin disease and banned from the Lord’s temple. His son Jotham was in charge of the palace and ruled over the people of the land.

2 Tawarikh 30:18

30:18 The majority of the many people from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun were ceremonially unclean, yet they ate the Passover in violation of what is prescribed in the law. ⁴  For Hezekiah prayed for them, saying: “May the Lord, who is good, forgive ⁵

36:10 At the beginning of the year King Nebuchadnezzar ordered him to be brought ⁶  to Babylon, along with the valuable items in the Lord’s temple. In his place he made his relative ⁷  Zedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem.

[26:21]  ³ tn The precise meaning of בֵּית הַחָפְשִׁית (bet hakhafshiyt, “house of [?]”) is uncertain. NASB, NIV, NRSV all have “in a separate house”; NEB has “in his own house…relieved of all duties.” For a discussion of various proposals, see M. Cogan and H. Tadmor, II Kings (AB), 166-67.

[36:10]  ⁶ tn Heb “sent and brought him.”

[36:10]  ⁷ tn Heb “and he made Zedekiah his brother king.” According to the parallel text in 2 Kgs 24:17, Zedekiah was Jehoiachin’s uncle, not his brother. Therefore many interpreters understand אח here in its less specific sense of “relative” (NEB “made his father’s brother Zedekiah king”; NASB “made his kinsman Zedekiah king”; NIV “made Jehoiachin’s uncle, Zedekiah, king”; NRSV “made his brother Zedekiah king”).
