14:4 He ordered Judah to seek the Lord God of their ancestors ¹  and to observe his law and commands. ² 

2 Tawarikh 20:3

20:3 Jehoshaphat was afraid, so he decided to seek the Lord’s advice. ³  He decreed that all Judah should observe a fast.

2 Tawarikh 21:11

21:11 He also built high places on the hills of Judah; he encouraged the residents of Jerusalem to be unfaithful to the Lord ⁴  and led Judah away from the Lord. ⁵

28:14 So the soldiers released the captives and the plunder before the officials and the entire assembly.

[14:4]  ¹ tn Heb “fathers.”

[14:4]  ² tn Heb “the law and the command.”

[20:3]  ³ tn Heb “and he set his face to seek the Lord.”

[21:11]  ⁴ tn Heb “and he caused the residents of Jerusalem to commit adultery.” In this context spiritual unfaithfulness to the Lord is in view rather than physical adultery.

[21:11]  ⁵ tn Heb “and drove Judah away.”
