14:1 (13:23) ¹  Abijah passed away ²  and was buried in the City of David. ³  His son Asa replaced him as king. During his reign ⁴  the land had rest for ten years.

18:34 While the battle raged throughout the day, the king stood propped up in his chariot opposite the Syrians. He died in the evening as the sun was setting.

21:1 Jehoshaphat passed away ⁵  and was buried with his ancestors ⁶  in the City of David. ⁷  His son Jehoram ⁸  replaced him as king.

26:23 Uzziah passed away ⁹  and was buried near his ancestors ¹⁰  in a cemetery ¹¹  belonging to the kings. (This was because he had a skin disease.) ¹²  His son Jotham replaced him as king.

28:27 Ahaz passed away ¹³  and was buried in the City of David; ¹⁴  they did not bring him to the tombs of the kings of Israel. His son Hezekiah replaced him as king.

[14:1]  ¹ sn Beginning with 14:1, the verse numbers through 14:15 in the English Bible differ from the verse numbers in the Hebrew text (BHS), with 14:1 ET = 13:23 HT, 14:2 ET = 14:1 HT, 14:3 ET = 14:2 HT, etc., through 14:15 ET = 14:14 HT. Beginning with 15:1 the verse numbers in the ET and HT are again the same.
